Priority is the most common use as the criteria to assess the defect, however assessing the severity is a good practice as well. Also a good practice that is helpful is that the defect contains a screenshot of the defect.Contains all the proper information in the defect for all participants to understand thoroughly.The defect is reported under the correct project and category.Has mentioned a priority and severity of the defects.Has enough information to understand the defect for all participants in the meeting.Who is involved in the Defect Triage? The Triage is attended by the entire Scrum Team.īefore the start of every triage meeting ensure that each defect: Before the start of the meeting send out the list of defects that are going to be discussed in the meeting. Based on these priorities then the team decides when the defect needs to be resolved and the criticality. Some important factors for categorizing these defects couple be Severity, the Risk associated, Business Impact, Occurrence of the defect, the Nature of the defect, etc. Based on the feedback from the team, the defects are then organized and classified into category, often by priority. The Development Team demonstrates the bugs, review with the rest of the Scrum team. Defect triage is a formal meeting where all the defects of the current sprint are discussed and triaged (Prioritized).
